"Born in Tunisia, with Spanish, Sardinian and German roots, pianist Roberte Mamou now lives in Paris and Brussels. Specializing in Baroque, Classical and Romantic music, she put together a program of Viennese variations for her latest CD. She made one very attractive recording out of it. Her eloquent, finely nuanced playing, controlled by subtle rubato, always very cantabile, but at the same time spontaneous and fresh, compels the listener to follow her attentively and with great pleasure through these variations.
