"exciting and not boring for a minute"

"British harpist Emily Hoile was born in 1992. She received her first harp lessons at the age of five. Emily Hoile completed her studies at the Juilliard School in New York and at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, among others. After graduation, she joined the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic. Today she plays in the WDR Symphony Orchestra, after two years as principal harpist of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. With Ars Produktion she brings out a varied program spanning several centuries and countries, showing the harp in all its musical variety, as a sonorous instrument with many expressive variants, from powerfully spirited to playful or even refined elegant pieces. Hoile does not offer aristocratic feminine playing, but an interpretation always adapted to the music, exciting and not boring for a minute. The full, powerfully contoured and dynamically fully exploited sound of the flawless SACD recording contributes significantly to the good impression."
